Weather I grew up in Findlay Ohio, a small town just off I-75 in Northwest Ohio. I was born a Nittany Lion as my dad was an PSU alumni and had family in the area. When I was growing up, I did my "nature journal" on several different weather phenomenon. From then on my passion for weather continued to blossom. I made a hurricane journal and tracked snowstorms in addition to watching thunderstorms as they made their way across the state in the summers. My love of the weather lead me to attend weather camp at Penn State for 2 summers, between my Freshman and Junior Years of High School. That camp proved to me that I really wanted to study meteorology and that I wanted to do it at Penn State. Recently I received my B.S. degree in Meteorology with a focus on Forecasting and Communications and a minor in Kinesiology. I was previously the Vice President of the Penn State Campus Weather Service as well as the Executive Producer of the Live Broadcast Team. Upon Graduation I accepted a position as the weekend meteorologist at WCBI-TV in Columbus, MS. While I enjoyed my time on air, I found that I had a much stronger passion for creating graphics. This lead me to AccuWeather in State College, PA. As a weather graphics producer, I created both daily feature graphics as well as special graphics for impactful weather events. You can find examples of my graphical work under the "Graphics Production" tab. Eventually I transitioned into private aviation forecasting where I now work remotely for Versar Inc. and live in Midland, TX.

Gymnastics
For ten years of my childhood I was a dancer. That passion changed over to gymnastics after watching the 2008 Olympics. After I found that new interest, I decided that I wanted to try gymnastics for myself. At 16 years old, I joined a local gymnastics program and began competing for them. When I graduated, I was excited to find out that Penn State has a club gymnastics program. Now I compete in the NAIGC program (learn more about that here). We compete using modified level 8 and 9 rules. Through this I became the manager for the Penn State Varsity Gymnastics team (four years). When I moved to Mississippi, unfortunately there were very few gymnastics programs available. However, when I moved back to Pennsylvania, I was fortunate to find that a local gymnastics club, Centre Elite Gymnastics, had an adult program. Through this I have regained many of my skills and began competing with NAIGC again as an alumni. I also had the opportunity to become a coach for their recreational program. Since moving to Texas, I haven't been able to train quite as much, but I still remain actively involved in the NAIGC as the WAG and T&T Rules Coordinator.
